The Ine no Funaya (a large cluster of traditional fishermen houses) houses are private houses

Funaya(a large cluster of traditional fishermen houses) and there about 230 houses lined along the Gulf of Ine

Funaya houses of Ine-cho have been selected as important Preservation Districts for Groups of Historic Buildings in the country in July 2005.

The number of funaya surrounding the bay of Ine is about 230 houses. Funaya that lined facing to the sea directly,and its view is very unique. Those houses are Suitable to live in fishing at the coast.

The first floor is garage and storage room and workshop, the second floor is used as living room and hotels.
When it is the time of High tide, Gentle waves will reach close to the funaya, and funaya houses will be seen like they are floating on the sea and that view is very fantastic.
Simple and calm life, there is the life style that is the closest to the sea in japan.
